Help sow mustard seeds that
will yield a bountiful harvest
"For truly I tell you, if you have faith
the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing
will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)
A tradition of thriving ministries
Mustard Seeds combines the efforts of several mission
agencies that have relied on faithful partners to
enable them to launch and sustain specific mission
projects around the world. Thanks to a rich history
of dedication from these agencies and their partners,
countless lives are touched in countless ways:
- New churches are planted in the midst of urban
blight to meet the specific needs of inner-city
neighborhoods.
- Small loans through village banks in remote villages
allow local churches and families to support themselves.
- Training centers are established that allow indigenous
people to identify and train their own church leaders
from among their midst.
- Resource centers are developed in nations with
post-Christian cultural mindsets, where the vitality
of Christ's love can be rediscovered in fresh ways.
- Conflict mediation is beginning the painstaking
work of healing old wounds in countries torn by
longstanding hostilities and violence.
Mennonite Mission Network:
- Supports ministries in more than 50 countries,
31 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
- Equips congregations and church leaders for mission.
- Engages people and cultures with the gospel.
- Seeds and cultivates missional congregations.
- Fosters a missional identity at every level of
the church: individual, congregational and churchwide.
What does it mean to be a sower
of Mustard Seeds?
- You learn about specific Mennonite Mission Network
projects by receiving a quarterly newsletter, Mustard
Seeds.
- Your commitment to make a contribution of $100
or more for each quarterly project (at least $400
per year) allows that program to meet a specific
objective.
- Regular updates on previous Mustard Seeds projects
let you know how they have continued to bear new
growth.
- In addition to your primary giving through your
congregation, through your Mustard Seeds gifts you
join others in supporting innovative ideas that
change the way people think about missions.
- When you take up the challenge to join other workers
in God's garden of hope, your own life is transformed
as well.
- Above all, you know you have helped God's garden
of hope to produce abundantly.
