Colombia

Mennonite Mission Network relates directly with the Colombia Mennonite Church (IMCOL), which developed from the work of General Conference Mennonite Church missionaries who arrived in Colombia in 1945.

IMCOL is blessed with optimistic, capable leadership that is moving ahead despite the upheavals and violence in the nation. The church is known for its leadership in work for justice and peace at community and national levels, especially, but not only, among evangelical and protestant churches.

Ministries of IMCOL include a seminary, church-planting and mission work, a school, a home for the elderly, a justice and peace center, a relief and development agency and a retreat center. Mission Network also relates to CLARA, the Latin American Anabaptist Resource Center, which is jointly operated by IMCOL and the Colombia Mennonite Brethren and Brethren in Christ churches.

IMCOL partners with Mission Network and Central Plains Mennonite Conference for work in Ecuador.
