In 1989, the Dutch Mennonite Mission Board founded a drop-in center mission project in Almere. In 2000, the Dutch invited Mennonites in North America to join them.
Two years later, Jackie Wyse was sent to work at "De Ruimte," a community drop-in center, the first collaboration between Dutch Mennonites and a foreign Mennonite mission organization in the Netherlands.
The Dutch Mennonite Mission Board is a major supporter of the Paris Mennonite Center.
