Ministry
The Epp Aratanis are directors of Menno Village, an urban/rural food and agricultural initiative of Mennonite churches in Sapporo. Raymond comments, "We are finding that in imagining a new economy into being - one in which the land is cared for, people receive healthy food, and farmers are treated justly - we are striking a chord in Japanese culture." The Epps' work has been featured in three award-winning documentaries in Japan. They also teach at the Bible department of Rakuno Gakuen University.
