Ministry
The Fasts serve as mission associates in Brazil through Project Amazon where their roles include regional coordination of church-planting, discipleship and pastoral care. The primary goal is to form churches throughout the Amazon region where an estimated 30,000 villages now have no evangelical Protestant church. Project Amazon's work has resulted in the formation of the Igreja da Paz (Church of Peace) denomination that includes close to 400 congregations. The group also works with water, health and communication projects. Accessing these river areas by boat is a challenging component of the work.
