Re-tooling how we teach leadership to youth
Leadership. A word that has been overused and underperformed to such a degree that its meaning is all but lost. In Made to Stick – Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, the term “semantic stretch” is used to define words that have been put together and overused to the extent that they have lost their power.
Can you say “Christ-centered leadership?” Really? Do we have an experiential understanding of and/or courage to teach youth how this kind of leadership will actually mess up our well-crafted lives and plans?
