Executive

Stanley W.  Green - Executive Director
More Info...

As executive director, Stanley Green articulates the Mennonite Mission Network vision that every congregation and all parts of the church will be fully engaged in God's mission, across the street and around the world. His presentations draw from his deep commitment to mission and his diverse life experiences, including serving as a pastor in his home country of South Africa, as a missionary in Jamaica and as an urban missiologist in Los Angeles. In 1978, at the South African Christian Leadership Assembly, he was introduced to Mennonites through three speakers: Myron Augsburger, Ron Sider and John Howard Yoder.

Previous Experience: Stanley began studies in 1986 at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., where he completed a master’s degree in missiology and has worked on doctoral studies. Since then, Stanley has served as president of the Council of Anabaptists in Los Angeles; conference minister for Southern California for the former Southwest Mennonite Conference; pastor of Faith Mennonite Church in Downey, Calif.; editor of Urban Connections; and half-time urban missiologist in Los Angeles with the former Mennonite Board of Missions’ evangelism and church development department. Stanley served as MBM president from June 1993 through May 2001, when he began as executive director of Mennonite Mission Network, the new mission agency of Mennonite Church USA.

Previous Experience: In her work at Mission Network, Paula draws on her experience with urban nonprofit and for profit communication jobs, community economic development, public relations and product development. Paula is also a 2008 graduate of Associate Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Ind., where she earned a Masters of Divinity. She has served in leadership within the church and has lots of experience with worship planning, preaching, and serving as a mentor for youth.

Tim Foley serves as the Director for Europe at Mennonite Mission Network, a position that provides administrative support for 36 workers in nine countries. Foley continues to work from Portadown, Northern Ireland, where he has been based since 2003 administrating short-term mission programs for Mennonite Mission Network, doing community mediation work and serving as pastor at Green Field Community Church, which closed its doors in June 2007.

Previous Experience: Foley holds a bachelor of divinity degree and graduate degrees in Anabaptist history and theology and in reconciliation studies – a program developed by former MBM worker Joe Liechty – at the Irish School of Ecumenics in Belfast. Foley has served part-time with Mission Network since 2001.
