I joined the former Mennonite Board of Missions in August 1995 as a volunteer, and joined the staff two years later.  With MBM, most of my work was in partnership formation - something I really love to do.  I call it "making people's dreams come true."  With Mission Network, I have worked in mission resources and constituent relations in a number of positions.  Currently, I direct the development team and lead the campaign to fund a new office facility in Elkhart for Mennonite Church USA.

Before coming to Elkhart, I spent 10 years in Bellefontaine, Ohio, as a self-employed computer consultant, helping small businesses set up computer networks.  I have a degree in elementary education and have taught English to foreign nationals, worked as a software programmer with the Farmers Home Administration, and as a substitute teacher in the Indianapolis Public Schools.  I grew up at Camp Friedenswald in southern Michigan and maintain a lifelong love for camping, especially with children.

My wife, Mary, and I have three adult children, Emily, Nathan and Naomi.  We live in Elkhart, and are members of Sunnyside Mennonite Church.
