Function:
Mennonite Mission Network partners with Nazareth Village, a project giving visitors an inside look at what a town of Jesus’ time would be like. The village brings to life a farm and Galilean village, and includes teaching about Jesus’ life and his teachings. The Executive Director gives overall leadership to the project, works closely with the board of directors, supervises 20+ Arab and international staff, etc. There are two positions currently being recruited: Executive Director NV Interim and EDNV Long Term. The former role is to see the organization through a transition in the governance board. A new focus for the Long-Term ED will be to oversee the construction and operation of a major building project, the Discovery Center, a self-contained education and research center.
Term:
One year interim position, followed by long term position

Position Specific Qualifications:
The global qualifications of the position are of a business background with Christian commitment. Experience in the areas of organization structures; financial responsibilities and reporting; operation decisions; ability to modify and adapt one’s experiences to the cultural and ethnic differences which exist in the Middle-East Arab and Jewish settings; Biblical literacy; international service or employment. Prefer applicants be a member of a Mennonite Church USA congregation, but may consider others.
Mission Network international workers must be:
- 21 years or older
- A committed Christian and an active church member
- Able to articulate a clear sense of call
- Affirmed for service by a local church community
- Able to learn and appreciate cultural norms different from their own
- Able to relate well with local people, co-workers, sister agencies and ecumenical partners
- Adaptable and resilient
