Description:  
    • Assist the executive director and development director in grant writing, correspondence, fundraising and public relations.
    • Assist the executive director with the clerical aspects of administering the organization.
    • Assist in maintaining donor records on appropriate data base program.
    • Assist development director in organization of fund raising events.
    • Assist in editing and producing the agency newsletter and annual report.
    • Organize and participate in presentations, tours and agency fairs.
    • Create informational materials.
    • Assemble educational materials for parent training and seminars.
    • Assist the librarian in all aspects of library organization and operation.
    • Coordinate bulk mailings in conjunction with appropriate staff.
    • Write thank-you letters to donors in cooperation with the executive director and development director.
    • Be familiar with the agency's policies and procedures and maintain proper confidentiality.
    • Assist in all other functions as requested by the executive director.
    • Provide assistance to the rest of the administrative staff as well as staff in the Family Resource Center.
Qualifications:
    • High school diploma and at least two years of college, preferably with a public relations major. If no college, other levels of experience my be considered.
    • Proficiency in word processing, desk top publishing and data management.
    • Two years' experience as an administrative assistant or executive secretary preferred.
    • Warmth and sensitivity to the issues facing families with a child with a disability.
    • Personable and able to work well with many people.
    • Creative and able to express self well in writing and speaking.
