Team Size:  6 to 12 participants plus 1-2 leaders

Service/Learning Component     Iglesia Menonita Rey de Gloria will host your Youth Venture team in this border city, where you will connect with the church's ministries with immigrants at a daycare center and repairing homes in the neighborhood.   

The summer daycare center invites your creativity!  Feel free to bring activities, crafts, materials, books, games, songs - whatever! - that kids ages 3-12 may enjoy doing.

In the housing rehab program basic skills are welcomed.  If you can hammer a nail or wield a paintbrush you will be put to work.

Best of all, your team will build relationships with youth from the church as you work together and explore the Rio Grande Valley.

Housing Facilities     You will stay in homes of families from Iglesia Menonita Rey de Gloria.

Travel Directions     You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to Brownsville. If you are flying, your team leaders will make arrangements to meet you at the Brownsville International Airport. If you are driving, the Youth Venture office or your team leaders can provide you with directions.  Exact travel dates will be available by mid-December.

Cost     Trip costs are $700 and will include meals, lodging, travel and recreational activities from the time of your arrival in Brownsville to your departure. Trip cost does not include travel to Brownsville, or personal spending money.
