Argentine Patagonia Partnership
In July of 1995, four pastors from Argentina were traveling in the United States and arranged to stop in Illinois. Then in 1996, a group from Illinois visited their Argentine brothers and sisters along the Rio Negro valley of southern Argentina. The Argentine pastors shared their vision for bringing the gospel to the uttermost regions of Patagonia, a four province region larger than the state of Texas. From the traveling, preaching, singing, laughter and many rounds of Yerba Mate passed around the circle, a partnership was born to share this vision and to bring a vision for increased mission in their own region to the churches of central Illinois. Read more about the Argentine in Beyond Ourselves Vol. 4, No.1.
$150 will help cover one month's housing and transportation expenses for one church planter sent by the Argentine Patagonia Missionary Program.

Pastors and leaders come to Quito once a month for classes, and 28 students graduated last year. Moya and Urueña are also teaching at a university level in the Recintos Descentralizados de la Universidad Bíblica Latinoamericana (UBL decentralized branches). The students include primarily indigenous evangelicals, Methodists and Mennonites. Read more about their work in Beyond Ourselves Vol. 4, No.1.

Christian Literature Translation in Mongolia
Endeavoring to promote maturity and a sense of commitment to service in the young Mongolian Church, the aim of the Christian Literature Translation is to encourage individual spiritual growth, as well as Christian family and Christian community by making practical books available at cost on related topics. Continuing effectiveness also includes gathering and being directed by indigenous feedback, in addition to actively facilitating both urban and rural distribution. The current project has a list of 15 books for translation and printing. The list was drawn up based on knowledge and experience of the struggles faced by various congregations (urban and rural), church leaders, and Christian friends.
