    Jackie Wyse

    Jackie Wyse
Jackie Wyse works with Inloophuis de Ruimte, a neighborhood drop-in center supported by the Dutch Mennonite Mission Board and informally affiliated with the Mennonite congregation in Almere, Netherlands. Part of her assignment is research aimed at helping Dutch Mennonites develop their vision for urban ministry. Wyse also conducted a survey of the residents of Stedenwijk, the neighborhood of which the center is a part. Unlike many surveys that focus on the problems in the community, Wyse’s attempted to uncover Stedenwijk’s assets. “By truly seeing our neighborhood in terms of the gifts and talents of its residents, we hope to gain some perspective regarding the role of the Inloophuis in our neighborhood — what it is, and what it could be,” Wyse said.

  • Read more about Jackie Wyse in the online mission directory and learn more about the drop-in center in Beyond Ourselves Vol. 4, No.2.

    Tim Foley

    Tim Foley
Tim Foley, a Mennonite Mission Network representative based in London, has been in conversation with the elders of Grace Christian Fellowship about the possibility of collaborating in short-term mission. The multi-ethnic congregation has grown from 10 to 180 members in five years and would welcome relationships with Anabaptists that span national boundaries. Foley is convinced short-term mission will mutually benefit both North American Christians and their counterparts in Ireland and the United Kingdom. "In addition to providing a cross-cultural context in which to test their vocational calling, Americans are welcome here. Our youth get excited about American youth," Foley said.
