Fierce Goodbye: Living in the Shadow of Suicide
Mennonite Media continues to search for new cable and distribution outlets for this one-hour documentary, which aired originally on Hallmark Channel in 2004 and was rebroadcast on NBC-TV and again on Hallmark in 2005. The many on-going responses posted at Tell Your Story on the Fierce Goodbye website, the tearful stories that have been told to customer service staff in the year since the original airing, and the continued positive response from those who have used the program in church or social service settings inspire staff to continue searching for new outlets to spread the outreach of this program. Your contribution will make it possible to continue marketing and distribution of this important film.

Shadow Voices: Finding Hope in Mental Illness
Shadow Voices has been produced for airing on ABC-TV beginning Dec., 2005 (and scheduled for later airing on Hallmark Channel). This important documentary looks at stigma, recovery and how people are finding hope. Since “one in four persons sitting in church pews on a Sunday morning has (or had) a mental illness,” according to Susan Gregg Schroeder (Presbyterian minister) who was interviewed for this documentary, it would seem that the church could have a huge role in providing support and encouragement. You can help erase the stigma of mental illness by supporting the marketing and distribution of this documentary and efforts to help mobilize churches to respond.

$100 wwill help pay for ads informing magazine readers about the Shadow Voices video.
$250 will pay for staff time, print materials and DVDs to send to PBS stations across the U.S, expanding the witness of this program.
$500 will pay for two hours of staff time and equipment for editing a special edition of Shadow Voices to be broadcast on the Hallmark Channel.
