Overview
Vision
The Mission Network equips and inspires each
generation of Mennonites to develop new churches and
new church leadership throughout the United States
and the world. We work with individuals, small groups,
congregations and area conferences to assist with
the development of church planting leadership, teams
and strategies.
Seminar and workshop offerings
Many area conferences and congregations have
expressed interest in understanding church planting
and want to develop strategies and leaders to start
new congregations. Presentations are available on
the following aspects of new church planting:
- Interviewing for church planting and other leadership
positions
- What kinds of churches should we plant? New designs
out of an Anabaptist understanding
- Basic introduction to church planting
- Church planting speaker(s) are available to speak
at mission festivals and Sunday morning worship
on a variety of missions and outreach topics. See
the online Speakers Guide for more information.
- Consultation, assessment and coaching: We work
with existing and developing church plants to assess,
train and coach church planters and congregation-based
church-planting systems and processes. (This work
occurs in collaboration with Mennonite Church USA
Executive Boards offices of Congregational
Life, Ministerial Leadership and Cross- Cultural
Relations as well as with leaders and mission commissions
from area conferences.)
