Begun in 2002, deo is an initiative centered in south-central Kansas to equip young people to become wholelife disciples of Jesus Christ. deo offers participants a year of simple living in an intentional inner-city community, while they also dedicate time to the exercise of spiritual disciplines, meet weekly with a spiritual director, and maintain contact with a mentor from their own congregation throughout the year to help them integrate the experience into their lives.
