DOOR Details
Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection (DOOR) offers coordinated experiences designed to challenge groups and individuals from all denominations to "See the Face of God in the City" as they are introduced to city life by spending various lengths of time volunteering, listening, worshipping and reflecting on their experiences. We are located in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Hollywood, Miami and San Antonio. We offer three programs for groups and individuals:

DOOR: Discover
The Discover program is for groups 13 and older to come to the city for a weekend or a week to volunteer, listen, reflect and worship. The 2009 weeklong participant fee is $295. This covers lodging, meals, logistical arrangements, speakers and guided reflections. Weekends vary according to availability and costs. Visit www.doornetwork.org/discover.htm for more information.

DOOR: Discern
The Discern program is for individuals to explore what it means to “See the Face of God in the City” as participants spend extended time in an environment of service, learning, and leadership. Participant can come for 1-3 months as a Discern Intern or for a study term. Each summer, we hire more than 30 persons as Discern Interns. Interns explore more deeply the strengths and needs of the city by working alongside city directors and helping to facilitate groups’ experiences. DOOR: Dwell
The Dwell program is an opportunity for individuals to be a part of God’s transformative work in the city. Teams spend a year living in intentional Christian community serving, worshiping, and reflecting together. We partner with the Young Adult Volunteers (YAV) program of the Presbyterian Church USA in Atlanta and Miami; and Mission Year in Atlanta. Visit www.doornetwork.org/dwell.htm for more information.
