Service Adventure Details
Want to make a difference with your life but not sure how to do it? If you've got more questions than answers, it may be time for a new challenge and a fresh perspective. Service Adventure participants take a break from the beaten path to serve others, build supportive relationships and live in community under the direction of a unit leader. Most importantly, they give themselves time to see what God wants from their lives.

Anchorage Adventure
Members of the Anchorage
Service Adventure unit learn, worship, enjoy
Alaska's diverse terrain and connect with local congregations as they serve their community.

Service Adventure Opportunities
Service Adventure invites young adults to be an extension of a local Mennonite congregation as they serve through various local social service agencies. Participants live in community with other young adults and unit leaders as they learn more about themselves and the world. As a household, they participate in weekly worship and learning times. Service Adventure provides a wonderful opportunity to spend time giving of yourself while being encouraged to grow in a supportive environment.

Service Adventure Feedback
"I have been stretched in so many ways this year that I don’t think that I would even recognize the person that I was before I came here" – Albuquerque, New Mexico
"This year has humbled me in a way that I never thought possible, and in a way that I think I really needed. I feel that my values and the things that I want to accomplish in my life are now in much sharper focus, even if sometimes I feel like I am farther away from attaining them than ever before." – Albuquerque, New Mexico
"I had a great year in Raleigh and I’m so grateful for the possibility to do Service Adventure. I think it is a great program and I learned a lot about myself, my relationship with God and what it means to serve God by serving other people." – Raleigh, North Carolina
