Service opportunities: Volunteers have opportunities to assist with building projects, maintenance, kitchen and office work. They interact with children, youth, adults, school and church groups, summer programs and retreats. The camp is a beautiful place in the coastal mountains just 11 miles from the ocean.
Lodging: A private room is available as well as one RV hook-up. Opportunities to serve are year-round, from one week to several months.
Service opportunities: Western Mennonite School, located on a beautiful 45-acre campus in the Willamette Valley, offers students in grades 6-12 a foundation for a life of faith and learning. Established in 1945, Western today has a student population of 250. The school’s strong academic and faith-based program relies on a healthy tradition of volunteer support. Volunteers are needed year-round. Immediate needs include:
Project Coordinator to oversee construction of an 8,000 sqaure foot Academic Center
Tutors
General maintenance
Bus driver
Other assignments could include painting, grounds-keeping, carpentry, and athletic field development.
Lodging:Western has several options for accommodations: a basement suite, modified dorm facilities, RV site possibilities, or local housing/home stays. There is no charge for lodging.
