Lead a Group

Youth Venture provides opportunities for groups of 4 to 10 youth and young adults to join together for a one to three week service and learning experience. Participants explore God at work in a culture or setting other than their own and are accompanied by adult leaders who serve alongside the team. Capable leaders are needed to accompany youth and young adults in this discipleship adventure.

Expectations of Youth Venture Leaders

• Leaders must be committed to the Christian faith.
• Leaders must be at least 21 years old for North American assignments and at least 25 years old for international assignments.
• Leaders generally share responsibilities and work with another group leader. There are usually two leaders assigned to each location, however, depending on the size of the team, some groups may have only one leader.
• Leaders are expected to be the liaison between local leadership and youth, setting up work, worship, learning and recreational schedules.
• Leaders are expected to coordinate and lead times of worship and reflection, as well as counseling when needed.

Benefits

Travel expenses, room and board, and transportation for the leader while on the job are paid for by the Youth Venture office. Venture location provides an on-site coordinator who does most of the preplanning.
