Camp Ithiel, near Orlando, operates year-round with mostly weekend groups in the winter and weeklong sleep-away camps in the summer. Interests and talents of volunteers can be matched with a special project or task. Projects range from fix-it jobs, light construction, trimming shrubs and limbs, tree cutting and trimming, painting, spring-cleaning and housekeeping to assisting in the kitchen or office. New Covenant Church of the Brethren worships on site. Lodging: The camp provides electricity, water and sewer hook-ups for RVs in a wooded, secluded part of the grounds. Nearby is the bathhouse with laundry, restrooms, showers, telephone and covered picnic shelter.
