2003 - Africa
Congregational mission packets and VBS resources

Congregational mission packets

Africa: God's family shines
Mennonite Mission Network's first fall mission packet builds on the popular children's component created for the 2003 Herald Press vacation Bible school series. In addition to the 24- page project book, which is packed with activities, games, stories and mission-project ideas, the packet includes:

  • A free coloring book for each child.
  • Worship and meal-planning guides.
  • The Missio Dei discussion booklet on Burkina Faso.

These packets provide resources for congregations to use for an entire missions month or a single mission Sunday. Resources typically consist of worship materials, pictures and maps, meals and activities, as well as information about mission workers and ministry in the specific area of focus.

Unfortunately, printed copies of the Congregational Mission Packet are no longer in stock. The activity booklet and other resources are available to download below.

Vacation Bible school resources

Africa: God's family shines is Mennonite Mission Network's component of Herald Press' 2003 VBS kit: God's Nomads, Stars and Promises. The 24-page booklet provides a variety of activities to show how our neighbors in Africa are becoming a growing part of the family of God.
