By fostering strong relationships between low-income parents (members) and dedicated volunteers (advocates), we help families build the strong personal, social and financial foundations to secure immediate, critical needs and to achieve long-term goals and aspirations. LIFT connects with families through four sites located in communities with some of the highest rates of concentrated poverty: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC. Because this work cannot be done alone, LIFT focuses on building strong community collaborations with a wide range of local, regional and national partners to help ensure families receive the resources and support they need. </p><p> <strong>POSITION OVERVIEW</strong><br> This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic program implementer to help ensure that LIFT's members meet their ambitious goals by providing them with direct service and support. Additionally, the Program Associate will play a key role in supporting overall quality assurance at LIFT through data tracking and collection as well as overall program support. This role is ideal for someone interested in hands-on direct service community work while, at the same time, developing the essential skills of nonprofit program management. The Program Associate role is new and is a one-year volunteer service position opportunity. </p><p> <strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> <ul> <li>Work directly with LIFT's members as they work towards achieving financial stability through skill building, budgeting and savings. Work may include facilitating workshops and meeting with members individually and community outreach. </li> <li>Support LIFT's efforts to develop and refine its programmatic offerings by collecting feedback from members, providing input on new programmatic initiatives, and implementing new program enhancements.</li> <li>Collaborate with team to ensure high quality and successful LIFT Family Engagement Events, which LIFT families and oftentimes Board members and donors. </li> <li>Help to ensure high quality and fidelity of LIFT's evaluation processes by monitoring data tracking and collection processes.</li> <li>Carry out occasional programmatic and operational support as needed. </li> </ul> </p> <div class="ExternalClassC0CAD737C12F434FA949C08B4CD224A6"><p> <strong>CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS</strong> <ul> <li>Commitment to LIFT's mission and core values.</li> <li>1-2 years of experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector.</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial organization.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and relationships with diverse stakeholders.</li> <li>Skilled problem solver.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. </li> </ul> </p><p> <i>LIFT believes that diversity in all dimensions of the organization supports and bolsters the innovative thinking essential to its success.
