Reservoir Hill House of Peace (RHHP), a ministry of North Baltimore Mennonite Church (NBMC), is a richly diverse community of young professionals, volunteers with Brethren Voluntary Service, and asylum seekers who are clients of the Asylum Seekers Housing Network, which is also a ministry of NBMC. Volunteer
opportunities include maintenance projects, seasonal outdoor work, urban farming, and placements with other nonprofits in the city. This is a great opportunity to live in a diverse community with a sense of mission while experiencing city living and making important contributions to the lives of others. Located in a turn-of-the-century mansion, RHHP housing is communal with shared bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living rooms. A private, spacious bedroom is available to SOOP workers; up to three persons may share a bathroom. Public transportation is convenient; a car is useful but not necessary. House members do not regularly cook together but enjoy sharing and tasting each other's food. Volunteers are responsible for their own food. Housing and utilities are provided at no cost.
