Elkhart, Indiana - Mennonite Mission Network announces the appointment of Ana Alicia Hinojosa as the new Senior Executive for Ventures, effective April 21, 2024. Bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success, Hinojosa will lead the Ventures division of Mission Network, driving innovation, strategic partnerships, and sustainable growth initiatives.
Hinojosa's journey with Mission Network began in April 2022 when she joined as Director of Constituent Engagement, a role in which she demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to collaborating with constituents to advance the organization's mission to give support to conferences and churches and to provide resources that empower them to engage their cultural contexts.
In March 2023, Hinojosa assumed the interim position of Senior Executive for Ventures, where she continued to demonstrate leadership by directly supervising key departments that create and coordinate opportunities for the church to be fully engaged in mission. Her efforts have been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing service programs, developing learning materials, facilitating peace workshops and connecting with conferences and congregations.
"Ana is deeply dedicated to Mennonite Mission Network and has shown exceptional leadership skills," said Marisa Smucker, Executive Director at Mennonite Mission Network. "We are confident in her abilities to guide the Ventures division which is crucial in our work with partners and serving constituents around the world."
In her new role, Hinojosa will oversee the development and execution of global ministry initiatives, forge strategic partnerships, and ensure the financial health and integrity of the divisional budget. Her extensive experience in program management, intercultural competency, and ability to strengthen relationships will be invaluable as she leads the Ventures division into its next phase of growth and impact.
"I am deeply honored to assume the role of Senior Executive for Ventures at Mission Network," said Hinojosa. "I am excited to continue collaborating with our talented team to advance our mission of following God’s call to serve global communities."
Prior to employment at Mission Network, Hinojosa was the Immigration Education Program Coordinator at Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) from 2016-2022, where she committed to educating immigrants of their rights and bridging congregations to the work of MCC.
Hinojosa co-pastors New Life Christian Center in San Benito, Texas, and serves on the pastoral leadership group at Unidad Cristiana de Iglesias Menonitas (Unity Christian Mennonite Churches), South Texas Region churches.
Hinojosa holds a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and psychology from University of Texas at Brownsville. Her proficiency in English and Spanish, coupled with her passion for immigrant justice and community empowerment, further enriches her ability to lead with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
