Mennonite Bible School offers affordable, nonresidetial, indigenous language, biblical education and leadership training and conducts quarterly Bible conferences in five locations within the former Transkei.
Mennonite Bible School, a teaching ministry among the African-Initiated Churches (AICs) of Eastern Cape, South Africa is now guided by local leadership. Mission Network provides a small grant for the coordination of activities related to the school.
Mennonite Bible School (formerly known as Bethany Bible School) began in 1982 when AIMM accepted an invitation from the Transkei Council of Churches (now Eastern Cape Provincial Council of Churches) to work with its member African Initiated Churches (AICs). A 10-member committee, elected at the joint year-end conference in Mthatha, sets policy and agenda for BBS and its outreach ministries.
