Cynthia Friesen Coyle joined Mennonite Mission Network in October 2010 as a graphic designer, replacing Rebeka Moeljono.
Friesen Coyle most recently spent two years as a freelance graphic designer in Bothell, Wash. Prior to her time there, she worked 18 years as a graphic designer for Habitat for Humanity International in Americus, Ga. She originally began her assignment with Habitat as a volunteer through Eastern Mennonite Missions and was later hired by the nonprofit housing ministry. While working at Habitat, she was also a volunteer graphic designer for the Mennonite Church USA’s Peace and Justice Support Network. She graduated from Goshen (Ind.) College in 1990 with a degree in art, focusing on graphic design.
“Missions and service have been important to my family for generations,” she said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to share my gifts in service to God and the broader Mennonite Church through Mission Network.”
She lives in Goshen with her husband, James, and her daughter, Rebekah. They attend Faith Mennonite Church.
Sue Conrad Howes began her work Feb. 28 as a development associate, representing Mission Network in Illinois, Wisconsin, and all states north of Virginia and east of Ohio, including Pennsylvania. She replaces Randy Miller.
Conrad Howes was most recently an associate pastor at East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church in Lancaster, Pa., for five and a half years. Prior to her work in ministry, she was the assistant director of convention planning with Mennonite Church USA. She has also worked as an assistant professor of communication at Goshen (Ind.) College. She holds an MDiv from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Ind., an MA in speech communication from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa., and a degree from Goshen College in communication and Bible, Religion and Philosophy.
“I’m looking forward to combining my love for the church and people with the opportunity to travel and meet new folks while sharing what is happening with Mennonite Mission Network locally and around the world,” she said.
Conrad Howes will work from her home in Lancaster, where she lives with her husband, Michael Howes.
