Tour the Alamosa MVS unit house

Hey future world-changers! Madison Stockner — 2025-26 Mennonite Voluntary Service (MVS) participant — opened the doors to the Alamosa Mennonite Voluntary Service unit house and is giving a tour.

This is the launchpad for a one- or two-year adventure (ages 20+) tackling:

  • rural poverty
  • food and housing insecurity
  • immigrant and restorative justice
  • eco-projects

San Luis Valley is a place of high-altitude vibes, stunning landscapes and a mix of Latino, Anglo and other communities with local arts and great food.

  • Just down the block from the unit house: Public trails along the Rio Grande River.
  • Up the block: Milagros, the go-to coffee shop.
  • Four bedrooms + an optional fifth bedroom
  • A car is provided for work commutes, errands, and exploring the area’s recreation
    • hiking the nearby Great Dunes National Park
    • rock climbing
    • snowboarding

Live with 3-4 like-minded roommates, eat family-style, worship with Anabaptist Fellowship of Alamosa, and wake up every day knowing your placement work is Kingdom work.
