Natasha Reimer Tuininga and her son

Our Canadian SOOP partner, Natasha Reimer Tuininga, gave birth on May 15 to Leo Harrison Reimer Tuininga! Congratulations all around!

We will miss Tasha during her year-long maternity leave, but we are pleased to introduce Kendelle Fawcett, who will be doing her best to fill Tasha’s shoes.

Kendelle is from Brandon, Manitoba, and achieved a degree in geography at Brandon University.  She served in Lesotha through MCC as a SALTer and a Service Worker and is now in a graduate program at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg. She is working toward a Master of Environment degree, focusing on food programs in northern Manitoba. Kendelle will be managing all of the Canadian SOOP workers, just as Arloa Bontrager handles all of the SOOPers from the United States. It’s a partnership that crosses agencies – Mennonite Mission Network and MCC Canada – and borders! Welcome to SOOP, Kendelle!
