ELKHART, Ind. (Mennonite Mission Network)—Kelsey Shue joined Mennonite Mission Network in August as a traveling recruiter for Christian Service programs.
Shue replaces Jill Schmidt, who in March moved into the role of personnel counselor and recruitment coordinator.
In her new role, Shue will travel across the country to speak with churches and individuals about Mission Network service opportunities, such as Mennonite Voluntary Service, Service Adventure, Radical Journey, Youth Venture and SOOP.
Shue is a 2011 graduate of Goshen (Ind.) College, where she studied communication and Spanish, and a 2008 graduate of Hesston (Kan.) College. She previously interned with Mennonite Mission Network and World Vision.
Shue volunteered with Mennonite World Conference in 2008 prior to the 2009 assembly held in Asunciόn, Paraguay.
Shue lives in Goshen, Ind. and attends East Goshen Mennonite Church.
“I’ve been greatly influenced by my own service experiences,” Shue said. “I’m excited to offer this gift to others.”
