On Sunday, Oct. 2, Janie Blough, a long-time worker with Mennonite Mission Network in France, was ordained for ministry at her church, the Châtenay-Malabry Mennonite Church, located in the outskirts of Paris.
Blough, one of four people ordained that day, was commissioned as a worship minister with special emphasis on teaching the essential foundations of worship and training others to lead worship. The other church members included Adèle Malonga and Seheno Rajohnson, both gifted in visitation and ordained as deacons, and Julio Rakotonindriana, ordained as preacher and youth minister.
“It is important that the leadership team be a mirror of who we are as a congregation,” Blough said.
