ELKHART, Ind. (Mennonite Mission Network)—Mennonite Mission Network announces the appointment of Jamie Ross as international ministries assistant and West Asia/Middle East assistant. Ross began her role July 26 and will work 80 percent time.
She replaces Marcella Hershberger, who left in July to serve as co-pastor at Bonneyville Mennonite Church in Bristol, Ind.
Ross comes to Mission Network from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Ind., where she served five years as assistant to the Mission Studies Center. She also worked as logistics coordinator for the Shenk Mission Lectureship and in May received her Master of Divinity in theological studies with a concentration in mission and evangelism.
Ross is excited to begin her role at MMN coordinating communication between mission workers and international ministries staff.
“I’m looking forward to learning more about the denomination, what it means to be a part of the mission agency of Mennonite Church USA,” Ross said.
Over the years Ross has served abroad in various mission capacities. From 2008-2009 she served at the Mar Elias Educational Institution in I’blin, Israel, where she developed curriculum and secured accreditation for the college. Before that, she taught English classes at Tinostanova University in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan. In her spare time, she intentionally engages in interfaith dialogue and friendships.
Ross currently lives in South Bend but will relocate to Elkhart soon. She attends Southside Fellowship in Elkhart.
