“I did not learn that I was an alcoholic until after I had retired,” said Earl Clarke, who began drinking regularly at the age 13. After so many years his wife and children gave him one final ultimatum – it was time to choose between alcohol or his family.
Earl decided to get help that day, and today he is the father and husband he always hoped to be. He is the guest on Shaping Families radio program this week to share his story for a special Father’s Day episode. Earlier he appeared in the Finding Hope in Recovery: Families Living With Addiction TV documentary produced by Third Way Media and aired on ABC-TV and others.
Shaping Families is a 15-minute weekly radio program produced by Third Way Media through Mennonite Mission Network. It can be heard on 15 local radio stations or online at www.ShapingFamilies.com
