The Sent Network is off to a successful start with strong participation. On Thursday, Aug. 29, 25 participants, split into three cohort groups, began their peace church-planting journey with the first session of the Sent Network. The cohort groups will meet every other week for six months.

The Sent Network is a six-month curriculum focusing on face-to-face, small-group studies complemented by online resources and help from facilitators. According to Mauricio Chenlo, minister of church planting at Mennonite Mission Network, the goal of the Sent Network is to create a community of leaders that is trained in church-planting skills.

Chenlo said that the best thing about the Sent Network so far has been that the leaders are hungry for the vision and mobilization that the program is bringing to help churches meet the needs of their communities.

The program will be released in Spanish at the end of 2019 with the hopes of reaching Spanish-speaking leaders in the United States and exploring possibilities with our Latin American and European partners.
