Anicka Fast

Anicka and her family live in Bussum, Netherlands. She serves as a specialist in church history and missiology.

Anicka teaches courses in World Christian history, global church/mission history, mission history and theology, and historical research methods in various theological institutes/seminaries/colleges. She serves as editor for the new Mennonite World Conference biography-based history series, Global Anabaptist Forebears. Read more about the series and the forthcoming first volume.

See a video introducing the series:

Watch this longer (9-minute) video to learn more about Anicka’s vision for the series, to get a taste for the collaborative research that goes into each biography, and to be inspired by the life and example of a Congolese Mennonite leader, Sengu Rebecca (1908-1985), and the author of her biography, Bercie Mundedi.

For the support of Anicka’s work, Mennonite Mission Network partners with the Boston University Center for Global Christianity and Mission (CGCM), where Anicka is a Visiting Researcher. Gifts to the CGCM’s African Histories Fund are tax-deductible in the US and go directly to support Anicka’s work as an International Service Associate with Mennonite Mission Network.

Outside the US, donate via Mennonite World Conference at mwc-cmm.org/en/donate-now (select “Other,” then “Global Mennonite History Project” from the drop-down menu), or by check, including the note “Global Mennonite History Project.”
