Proclaimers gift Toba Qom with entire New Testament recording

Mennonite Mission Network ministry in Argentina began with the arrival of the first Mennonite missionaries in Latin America in 1917. The centennial was celebrated in September 2017. Currently Mission Network partners with the Iglesia Evangélica Menonita Argentina (IEMA - Argentina Mennonite Church) in leadership development and church-planting mission programs, including regional partnerships. Long-term work with the indigenous evangelical churches in the Chaco is also supported by the IEMA through the sending of mission workers from the Mennonite church in Bragado.Twenty-six Argentine missionary church planters, who are also recognized as International Partnership Associates with Mennonite Mission Network, are from the: 1) Patagonia Mission Project (PMP): Damian and Marta Reyes, Chos Malal; Marcelo Alarcón and Jacqueline Ojeda de Alarcón, and Andrea and Lucas Pineda, Comodoro Rivadavia; César Riquelme and Miriam Ferreyra, Puerto Madryn; Miguel Bamonde y Angela Correa, Sierra Grande; Jorge and Maria Rodriguez, and Diego and Estefania Rodriguez, Valcheta; Javier and Vero Llanquileo, Valle Azul; 2) Missionary Program of Northern Argentina (PROMINOA): Orlando Rodas and Gloria Roldan in Tafi Viejo; and 3) Evangelistic Missionary Vision for the Western Zone (VEMZO): Ramón Antonio Godoy and Mariana Romero, Jonatán Curto and María Rita Medina in Villa Mercedes; Javier Miguel and Silvia Romero in Pellegrini and Villa Mercedes; Raúl Alberto Patiés and Patricia Liliana Lasca in Nueva Plata and Chiclana. Mennonite mission work with indigenous people in Argentina's northern Chaco region began in 1943. Mennonite ministries encourage the indigenous churches in their development of leaders and in their unique style of worship and organization, as well as supporting Bible translation and leadership development work. In 2004, Bragado Mennonite Church sent Alfonsina and José Luis Oyanguren to the Chaco where they serve as International Partnership Associates with Mission Network.
