About Mongolia

When Mongolia opened its doors to the world in 1990, there were reportedly five Christians there. Workers were first sent in 1993 to serve with the newly formed Joint Christian Services International.

Using a new model of providing financial and prayer support for ministry there, the former Mennonite Board of Missions formed a partnership with a group of churches and individuals in eastern Ohio. Annual mission visits to Mongolia are a part of this partnership.

Workers are involved in ministries of theological education, relief, micro-enterprise, community development, and English teaching.
